About the Site
Site History
The land has a rich history, awarded permanently in 1813 for the benefit of the poor. Originally named the ‘Trustees of The Poor,’ it later became the Isleworth Enclosure, providing essentials such as fuel and food before evolving into financial grants funded by income from the land. More recently, the site operated as a garden centre before falling into disuse.

Current Condition
The site has been left vacant and suffers from security issues, with a deteriorating perimeter fence, overgrown embankments, and disused nursery buildings. The site has become prone to antisocial and provides no benefit to the community.

Why This Development Matters
According to Hounslow Health and Care, between 2020-2041, the number of residents aged 65 and over is projected to increase by 71%, an estimated additional 24,000 older residents.
By addressing the needs of older residents—particularly those facing housing difficulties or seeking to downsize—the charity wishes to provide a secure, vibrant and nature-focused community, combining specialist housing with thoughtfully designed communal spaces, offering a place where residents can thrive.
